My Son doing Letter Concept worksheet. He had to circle the letters that were the same. Then he wrote his name. He is 3. He will be 4 in a couple months. Getting ready for Preschool. He is attention span is 3-4 minute…so I am learning to work with that.

Thursday (Book I’m Reading) THOUGHTS

Book I’m Reading:  One Thousand Gifts

(All words in BOLD DARK are from the book)

First of all I want to say ….this book is deep. It is poetic and beautifully written. Ann really has written something amazing. I read the first two chapters and stopped to think and decided it was best if I go back and start over. It was new and just as amazing the second time.

That is when I decided that I wanted to write about this book~!

In the first chapter Ann opens our eyes to the world of  “NO, GOD!” that we live in. How we live with what she calls …clenched fists. Our hearts in prison to the belief that God isn’t really a good God. Believing the lies of Satan. How we fight against what happens in our lives. Living in distrust of this God we say we serve.

Do we trust Him? I wonder how much do I trust Him…. she really makes you think. She presents the choice to us. …choose to say yes to what He freely gives. Could I live that – the choice to open the hands to freely receive whatever God gives?

Whatever God gives…. ________? (unknown)

People are control freaks in lots of different ways.

I am…I want to know. I want to plan. I want to be prepared.

God in my life …as my life means I am no longer in control and I have to let go. She makes it perfectly clear in this first chapter. You can not help but be rudely and graceful, wonderfully awakened to the distrust that tears holes in our souls.

The controlling, full of anxiety, worrisome, weary, angry, and full of self wants…. soul holes in our lives

But how? How do we choose to allow the holes to become seeing-through-to-God places? To more-God places? How do I give up resentment for gratitude, gnawing anger for spilling joy? Self-focus for God-communion. To fully live….

1.  Something on my heart:

Ok so I was at my BFF’s house ( she is also my sister in law) and one of her dogs got hurt. I was there and helps to bandage him up. He was so brave. His name is Tedo. He was so sad and scared too.  He was hugging me. The next day he had to go get 6 staples. Poor puppy.

So The next day after he got all fixed up …I brought him a bag of Lamb and Rice bone treats. SPOILING HIM!!!

OK so I have studied personality type with my BFF for like 10 years now.

According to this Dressing YOUR Truth, there are 4 types.

Type 1 : Bright and Animated – to me this is —> A Sanguine

Type 2: Soft and Subtle – to me this is —-> A Phlegmatic

Type 3:  Rich and Dynamic – to me this is —–> A Choleric

Type 4: Bold and Striking – to me this is ——> A Melancholy

So if you know what personality type you are on another form like Sang, Phleg, Chol, Mel. Then you can pick up on some shopping tips! I did. :0)

Ok so I am a TYPE 4  and I have always been afraid of wearing Black and really Bold colors. I usually wear Type 2 colors

Remember this from last week:

Yes Yes I still look pretty. ..I hear ya! BUT I FEEL LIKE I AM SHINING and SHOWING UP in that EMERALD GREEN up there!!! lol

So I went out on a limb and gave it a whirl. I LOVE THEM!!! I felt very comfortable in the bold solid colors. I am making some changes. I even went shopping.

BODY LANGUAGE ….. see that picture above …my hands are clasped behind my back …According to Dressing YOUR Truth your body reacts instinctively to the world and if you know what it is saying you can understand what is going on within on a very deep level that we often overlook.

do you know what that means?? I found this definition:

Meaning: Anger, frustration, apprehension

un-sureness….NO WONDER!! -I like to be EXACT….. my body was saying something’s missing…THAT BOLDNESS that is in me, is hidden, I am more or less blending into the wall.

now go back and see that emerald green and black –my chins extension and tip up says CONFIDENCE.  I want to feel that way DAILY !!- making the changes.

THANKFUL THURSDAY!

I got the book finally! ONE THOUSAND GIFTS

So I am starting …

First week of January Blessings

1. New Hair:

2. A lesson of Faith:

Heard these words on the radio “ don’t speak all the faith robbing details”  – they hit me – I jotted them down.

Later I entered the salon chair , showed the lady the picture of what I wanted. I proceeded to speak about how I had been keeping my hair ( low key, no fuss, easy to do) she advised me against my choice. I listened. Left unhappy. Called later that same day to have it fixed. Returned to the salon. Got the original hair cut I asked for.

Later realized I gave her all the faith robbing details – I spoke of the way it had been , the way it was instead of expressing my desire for change and where I wanted to go.

LESSON LEARNED!
