Things are Changing

Today I was reading one of my favorite blogs: Quotesnack.com and in her title she wrote – I am Turning to Face the Change. Sometimes this is very hard to do. We become so use to what has been and we don’t like to deal with change. The problem with this is in Rev 21:5 we are told – BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW. Everyday is a new day. We are to press forward…we are to look into the NEW DAY.  Talk hold of what is new and fresh in our lives.

Sometimes we hold to tightly to things that have changed. We try in our own strength to renew them like we remember them being….and we are never satisfied…we are never at rest. We were made to endure change and to change with it. Learning from our circumstances and moving forward in what we have learned is what change is about.

Jer 7:24 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear, but walked in the counsels [and] in the imagination of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

Many time like this verse we do not pay attention to what is changing around us. We don’t listen to our inner most place and move forward. Instead we listen to our clamoring thoughts and desires wanting things to stay as they are. An example: We want people who used to listen to us, who thought we were so smart to stay here and keep listening and think we are so smart so we can feed our ego and feel so smart. Moving in a backward motion of trying to keep things as they were we try to dig up some wonderfully awesome imaginations about life so they will think we are wonderful again. Often we find ourselves in a pit alone and unhappy.

Move forward….we are all in cycles….we learn then we teach what we learn through living our lives and being who we were created to be. If we are moving backward …we aren’t learning …we are regurgitating! Nothing tastes better than fresh food, don’t you think? So, let us turn to face the change that we are being led into…let us face life with renewed strength for today, not yesterdays breakfast. Let us walk on into what we are given to do and let people and things come and go as they please, as they learn and grow on their journey and glean the light and love they are giving as we walk in the NEW DAY!!

  1. change is a requirement for GROWTH! When we see things change we know we’re in for a season of growing and that’s always something to look forward to, not to regret or cringe at. Thanks for the post, I enjoyed it!!

  2. I especially liked Times Are Changing. (might be THINGS are Changing); you know me, Starla, lol.

It is true, whichever way you look at it, TIMES and THINGS are changing. Thankfully some are allowing the CHANGING, because it is part of the PLAN.

Keep up the good work, “Angel”. (bearer of good news)
