Does it bite?

This is a Photo Blog series with some words…

My Husband -The Tree Man- brought home a little slithering bull snake for the kids to see.

He tells them about how the skin breaths

I am thinking this is good science right in the yard Winking smile

And how it uses its tongue to taste the air to smell

Little Mister  asked “will it bite me?”

The Tree Man says “no, he is too little. But the big ones could take a chunk of skin if you aren’t careful.”

Little Man thinks it is soft and really cool!

Then we let it go in the garden

to the next show and tell :

Water Shots

We took a little trip to Missouri to see my Sister and to surprise my Mom for her Birthday. While we were there we went out to the local swimming park and let the kids play and we pulled out the sprinkler too…

not to mention – did anyone notice how HOT it was last week!!!!

Well its suppose to be a scorcher this week too…get over it huh? its SUMMER…Nothing new to Midwesterners. :0)

This is my Little Handsome in the sprinkler…

Here is Handsome and His sister at the swimming park:

He was so happy with her in the water

Then he did some playing in the sand :0) love the butt shot

Then he was back in the water doing his own thing…

Have a good Monday…have some of your own water fun this week!!

Friday’s Facts

Copy of NEWPICS 362-5

1. First of all…

I feel like I don’t have any things to share. ‘

I’m sure I will find some as a continue searching my brain bins :0)

2. I am still picking DANDELIONS…

Today I was plucking them so much I heard my minds saying:

“These Things Are Relentless!!!”

So I stopped picking for today…

I still want to be out there..

but I will burn out and quit if I don’t do this in moderation.

3. A quote:

“When we break people…we break Jesus”

-Ann Voskamp

What ever you have done to the least of these, you have done to me.  –isn’t that what Jesus said!

OUCH! makin’ me think!! Trust me I am no angel. I get mad, flip off at the mouth, make statement I should otherwise not say and have moments of less than loving attitudes. :0/ But this quote…it hit me.

4. Started the book :  EXPERIENCING WORSHIP by Stephen Newman

Our church worship team is going through this study book – its good

I just want my life to be a living worship experience.

5. I am surprised….not really

– that I have things to say here. :0p     lol

6. My Sarah took some good pictures of herself and her brother David, here’s one:

7. I took some pics this week too :

8. Grandpa came to visit David again…

Look for the 4th installment of A BOY AND HIS GRANDPA! – tomorrow.

9. There is nothing like listening to:

Your children arguing over which one is going to the bathroom first.

The first shall be last, and the last shall be first.

In this case I don’t think that applies :0)

10. I am still going to the Gym!!

I really like it. I enjoy the alone time. I feel stronger. I am stronger.

PS: I think it is funny that I thought I didn’t have anything to put on this post this week. One thing I like about this FRIDAY FACTS is that I get a Snap Shot of my past week. Its neat to see what I have done, been touched by, listen to or read …especially on those weeks ( like this one )  when I felt like I’ve just been doing the same o’ same o’ !!

See how much you miss when you don’t – REFLECT!

A Boy and his Grandpa (part 2)

I think I will start a series….  A BOY AND HIS GRANDPA!!!

In the first post called A BOY AND HIS GRANDPA

I told you about my Dads imagination, his ability to get into kid character.

(He is 5 years old, you know!)

My son is 3 years old ….so that means Grandpa is 2 years older than he is right now!! lol

We went to visit this past weekend. My son was very, very excited.

Last time they were together they went fishing off the bank of my porch

In this picture they had just finished taking a boat ride. Grandpa has a boat in the driveway. He let my son drive. They made all the boat motor noises and had some grand adventures I am sure. They even had a passenger on their boat – my niece. :0) I sure she was some really really important VIP. lol

I love watching my dad with my son. He really is like a big buddy/brother/Grandpa/friend. He doesn’t say ” this is what we are doing!” ….this Grandpa says ” Where we going?”

He lets my son choose the way. Be the boss. Be in the drivers seat… tell the story.

For a few hours of the day they were inseperable…walking through my Dad’s little town, hanging out at the park, swinging and on the merry-go-round.

Like two long-lost friends reunited.

I think I will keep the poem with these posts as they continue…so stay tuned. :0)

Have a great TUESDAY!!

I like to walk with Grandpa…

His steps are short like mine.

He doesn’t say…

“Now, Hurry Up!”

He always takes his time

Most people have to hurry…

they do not stop and see.

I am glad that God made Grandpa…

‘Unrushed’ and young like me.
