Make me

20130131_074013 (3)

I come to the quiet to hear You

my soul thirsting for You

Where can I go from Your presence? – no where

For You are everywhere present

Yet it is in the stillness

it is in the quiet that my tattered soul can hear You

I long to know You more

asking…. begging with open hands for You to pour more into my cup

Give me Your oil of gladness

Give me Your covering love

let my soul rejoice in You, Oh God

for You have given it all

I come to silence the edge of no more me

thoughts are hushed

and needs revealed

awaiting Your love and peace

Thank you for surrendering Yourself for my sin

That I might reveal Your glory in the vessel of skin

We all show the Lords glory, and we are being changed to be like him. 2 Corinthians 3:18

Make me more like You

Father make me

more like You

Let Your glory over take it all

and shine like the morning sun

Let all Your people testify

HE IS ALIVE and I AM HIS!

Advent…God with us

She will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel, which means “God with us.”
Matt. 1:23

He came

small and fragile

just how we are all of our days

to love us and meet us where we are

to be with us….

what amazing little words

ADVENT -God with us!

Ann asks and will you join in answering

How does your perspective change on the hurry and the worry when you remember that God is with you?

What does it mean to you that God came in the form of an infant, with human skin?

What around you is broken and in need of saving? Ask God to restore and redeem any broken relationships and the broken places in your heart.

poem

Remembering ….awakening

HE is here

He is near

God is with me

I slow and I change focus

I see and I thank

I go and I enjoy

and I am at peace

He came infant size

amazing that is

I have had two children

and to think this WHOLE of GOD came in such tiny package

BIRTH DAY…. what JOYOUS OCCASION

celebration

LOVE came down

to enter into this worldly place

and redeem and renew

and remind of such great love

Has the FATHER for us

A picture of father/son relationship

that more of that kind

I beg pour on us here in our little home

in the middle of all this cold snow

warmth burning from the inside

Heal me in the places that I am broken

Fill me with Your unfailing Love

I wont be the same when You’ve spoke

Fill my life O Lord

restore my soul and spirit

BE BORN IN ME

Advent …come to the king

I will go in to see the king.

Esther 4:16

She walks in because even though it is comfortable there in the palace

inside the gate secure and at ease

she was not as safe and neither were her family

The bad man wanted them all dead

and she was born for such a time as this

God gives us gifts and position not to set in a comfortable place

proud with what we have received inside the gate

but rather sets us in such places with such things to touch those around us for Him

those who are outside the gate

we have what another lacks …..GIVE

He gave His life so that we might live

ADVENT – the dying so that in dying life may live abundantly

Ann asks and will you join in answering

What specific gifts has God given you?

As you look at those “outside the gate”  who do you feel especially drawn to help?

How might you use some of your gifts to help others -for such a time as this?

poem

special gifts

things giving to me

a way with words

writing out

sharing

helping

singing

listening

encouraging

those outside the gate

in need of a little encouragement

they can do it

Christ is their HOPE

He is here

watching

waiting

willing

….would you but ask?

I see what they have that maybe they cant yet see

let me share to awaken that sight

and I love the surprise face

of understanding what is in themselves

just yielding to Him

when He calls to come join Him

in serving and loving

equipping the saints

Advent…Lifting up the little and small

You, O Bethlehem Ephrathah, are only a small village.

Micah 5:2

ADVENT – The source of peace has come

Advent the reminding that greatness came to this smallness me

to live and breath and bless.

to lift the small and weak to sit with Him in His throne

what privilege …what love

Ann asks and will you join in answering

When have you felt like Bethlehem…poor, small, forgotten?

What worries to you need to surrender to God, knowing He is firmly on His throne?

Take a moment to thank God for the eucatastophe of Christmas – for conquering evil with righteousness

poem

Bethlehem

my heart and yours

where a stable is the home of the heart

where the King came to be born

a small and poor forgotten place

like me before He came

and at times when I am not keeping my gaze to Him

He came to make that small cradle stable place His throne

I am now never poor

or small

or forgotten

and yet there are worries that plague me

that I am not enough

and I am not with Him

keeping that gaze shows me that grace is real

I surrender my emptiness to Him to fill

like empty water pots fill me with Your wine

I am our home

Thank you for the eucatastrope

Your barreling down on my heart

storming in like thunder

The coming King after His beloved that was stole

conquering evil with Your Righteous SON

sent to the cross to pay my ransom
